My Head is Congested!!!

WOW! I felt like I just posted, but when I checked the date...its been almost a week! Guess I'd better catch you up on a few things. Things have been crazy around here, and I feel like my brain is congested with so many ideas and projects, I just need to STOP...but I can't, I'm high on adrenaline from everything that's going on and thought I'd better stop and post a quick blog so you didn't think I've disappeared!

I've been busy organizing some beads, working up some new jewelry for Spring Summer, getting ready for a show, writing articles and updating my website! This week, I'll be posting some new eye candy for you to check out as well as sharing some more exciting news with you about Runako Designs! Also, we have Kiva loan recipients that are repaying furiously, so we'll be funding another loan this week...How awesome is that! Just for being patient with me, I'll give you a tiny sneak peak of a new design. This one looks pretty cool on, I even got a thumbs up from a 12 year old, but you'll have to wait for the matching earrings (wink).

Leave a comment for a suggested name for the above necklace and be entered into a drawing for a FREE pair of earrings!! Well, sorry for the quick drive by, but as you can see, my brain is congested with lots of stuff!

Unveiling,
Dee

Dee, I read you article on the Jewelry newsletter and totally agree, that giving is so good . I also believe that what you give comes back to you. I have donated to help lots of causes and some of it does come back.
I also pop in extra gifts to my customers with is a nice feeling and they are rewarded for shopping with me. You have inspired me to think about a charity and a design that will keep on giving. Thanks
Lina

Hi Lina,
Thanks for taking the time to read the article and thanks for your feedback. During the holiday's I do give a little something special to my customers, you've now inspired ME to do it a little more often throughout the year. I'd started one time making little cell phone baubles, may have to get back to it :)..thanks

How about "Waterfall" - you don't have to put me in your prize pool :-)

Congrats on the great article! Can't wait to see your new spring things.

Well, off to go make some spring things, myself!

I am a member of KIVA and I made a loan, using the credit "bucks" from my credit card. However, I have a question for you. I use to be a jewelry designer/want to begin again. I also want to contribute to a cause/I read about your designs in Jewelry Success News. How, do you know the materials are fair trade that you are using...I am not doubting you for one second. I would like to know how to make sure etc.. For my own jewelry making...once I get out of the blah zone. Thank you and I love your blog! And your designs! Trish

Hi Trish, thanks for stopping by. All of the items that I purchase and promote as fair trade, I purchase from reputable suppliers who are either members of a Fair Trade Organization or are known through out the beading/jewelry community as reputable to their word. Anyone's business that is registered with one of these reputable organizations, are also monitored by them to ensure that fair practices are being exercised. I fully understand your question, as I myself try to ensure that I'm dealing with real causes. Before investing in any cause I always do my homework and research, looking for any red flags. Hope that helps.

I like this piece a lot only I wish I could think of a name for this one.

It will be interesting to see what you all can come up with.

Thanks

Hi Lina,
The one thing I've learned about the blogging is to just keep posting and make sure you visit other peoples and post comments. Over time, "they will come" so to speak. Have a contest, ask a question, I will say...it takes time, but don't give up.

Thanks Elaine,
I've come up with a substitute for it now for the website, but It's just not what I'm looking for. Hopefully something good will come along for a name before its gone!

Hi Dee! I want to play :) It reminds me of an Egyptian scarab design... Egyptian idea:
"Menat" meaning " A protective amulet invoking the divine favor."

Dee said...

hmmm, I'm liking that, like the meaning as well :)
