New Year...New Me!...

Life has a way of throwing you curve balls sometimes, just to see how you handle them I suppose. I'll admit, I've been stuck on third base for a couple of months, but this morning, I woke up with a renewed feeling that I had to take back my life, my thoughts and my lost energy, turn them into something positive and make this the year about me!

I know that sounds selfish, but that's the attitude I feel I have to take to get back on track and move forward. Don't get me wrong...it's a positive ATE2UDE as my license plates read and one that got me where I am today, and anything, anyone and everything that doesn't have something positive to bring to the table, will be taking a back seat on my train ride into 2010.

I could spend this post reflecting and writing on the past months trials and tribulations, but I won't...let's just say with the curve balls, I've had a couple of home runs, many hiccups, bruises and let downs that have come my way recently and I've allowed them all to distract me from being me and that's not cool in my mantras of life. I know I won't be able to tackle everything in one day to make up for lost time, but by setting small daily goals, I'm confident things will be back to normal real soon.

Three Back on Track Goals for Today:

1. Business - Thanks to Lori Anderson, who is hosting a Bead Soup Party this month. Lori's post is just what I needed to get back into the swing of things with creating and posting and alas organizing my workspace since the holidays. Lori is hosting a virtual bead swap, where we'll be exchanging components and beads and challenging our creative minds to come up with something beautiful. Entry for this contest has ended, but the party will take place February 10th, when all participants will be posting their creations in their blogs for all to see.

2. Have Fun - Today I'm taking my son to Dave and Busters! Nothing like a little eat, drink and play on a rainy Sunday afternoon. My intentions will be to whip him up bad in a little friendly game of competition!

3. Take Inventory - Later tonight, I plan to take some inventory online and off, and clean house. If it "aint" positive or bringing value to my life and business, I'm releasing it. Sometimes you just have to know when to let go. I've spent many wasteful hours on things this past year, that have brought zero returns and tonight I'll be cleaning house.

So....Thanks to everyone who have sent emails or called out of concern, I truly appreciate you! Thanks also to those out there, who have posted new years resolutions, business and personal goals for yourself, you have truly been an inspiration to me recently, and last but not least, thanks to friends and family who've encouraged, prayed and stuck by my side....love you all...I'm Back!!

Unveiling,

OH Dee. I am so glad the blog party came along at a good time. And I agree with you. Take out the trash and keep the wonderful. I do that every now and then myself.

Thanks so much for this post! It's pretty much right in line w/how I've felt the past couple of weeks. I have started to let some negative things creep in, and I have been scattered and need to get focused and stay on track to bring my self back!!
Thanks for the reminder and the 'kick-in-the-pants' - needed that!!
Cheers to a great year!
