All About Gemstone Beads - Barbara Case

Show season is upon all of us in the handmade world. Unlike manufactures who are able to push out thousands upon thousands of inventoried items, we Indie artists mus labor months to build up a decent inventory to carry us through the season. No elves here, just me! So, scarce we all are around this time of the year, working hard to make sure that we have a good and varied selection for all of our wonderful shoppers, so blog entries, may become shorter and random :).
Today, I wanted to recommend a wonderful book that I have in my library entitled Making Jewelry with Gemstone Beads by Barbara Case This has several great projects, but I purchased it for its wonderful coverage of many of the most popular gemstones that I use. It covers everything from appearance and color to countries of origins and even gives you a quick buyers guide on your favorite stone. If your looking to learn more about gemstones and its history, this is a great book to have in your library.
