Well Done Little Piggy...well done

One of my favorite movies is "Babe" . It's an Australian movie about a talking pig who wants to be a sheep Dog. During one of the scenes, Babe successfully completes a competition farmer Hoggett has entered him into, to which the farmer, a man of little words, replies "well done pig, well done".

Well, I'm not exactly calling any of us pigs of course, but I would like to give a shout out to the ladies who participated in the Expo this weekend to say..."Well done ladies...well done!"

Thanks to everyone who stopped by this weekend and extra thanks to all who participated. This was a first event and it will definitely not be the last. I received positive email and comments about the event all wanting to know about the next one. I met some lovely women, did some great networking and have bookmarked quite a few shops I'll be visiting over the holiday's. There was so many diverse businesses out there and all good sources.

Now I'll say there were a few learning curves, as there always is with anything new, but I'm compiling my take away's from the event and the next Business Womens Expo will be even bigger and better!! Fall Business Women Online Expo - Booth #1

Welcome to the Fall Business Women Online Expo!

I'm so excited to have you stop by my booth today and extra certain that you'll find plenty more other great vendors this weekend as you explore the Expo online. At the end of this post, please leave a message and let me know you stopped by and at the end of the expo, I'll be doing a door prize drawing for all my guests.

I'm posting a little early tonight because I'm preparing for my first big show of the season. Lots to do and the elves haven't shown up yet, guess they're busy with Santa! The Expo officially starts later tonight, most shops should definitely be up by the morning, so make sure you come back and visit the others.

My name is Dee and I am the owner and creator of Runako Designs. The Vision of Runako Designs is to offer unique, quality, handcrafted jewelry to every woman, at affordable prices, by means of first-rate customer service and satisfaction.

I decided to sponsor this Business Women Expo this weekend to help promote female business owners around the world. It's the first of many more to come...why should all the big retailers get the recognition?

At Runako Designs our Mission is to create jewelry that inspires every woman who wears it to unveil a renewed feeling about herself; a renewed feeling that empowers her to move one step closer to finding her purpose and inner beauty.

Runako, pronounced "Roo-Nah-Koh"- means beauty in the Shona Language of Zimbabwe. The flower used in the logo represents the National flower of Zimbabwe, the Flame Iris. I was looking for something special to express what I think of my jewelry, and Runako and a unique, beautiful flower, tied it all together for me.

In addition to offering jewelry, I'm also an avid supporter of a few wonderful non for profit organizations that I'm proud to give a shout out for. Through my business, I'm able to give donations to these groups, through my purchases and Percentages of proceeds. They include, Kiva, Beads for Life and Relay for Life. I also enjoy teaching jewelry classes and spending quality time with my son.

Business Women Online Expo...Coming Soon!!

2009 Fall Business Women's Online Expo

With the holidays quickly approaching, I've come up with what I think is a great idea to spread the word of what great women businesses there are online. To accomplish this, I'm going to be hosting a Business Women's Online Expo on Girls Night Out! I'll be posting more detailed information about the expo as soon as I get a badge ready for marketing, hopefully by Monday, but here's a little information to get you thinking.

If you are a female business owner or have a craft that you sell online, you'll be able to feature your business in an Expo list that will be posted on Girls Night Out. On the said weekend (September 26th), You will post a feature of your business on your blog, (details, links, photos, etc) that will introduce visitors to you and what you do. You can also host giveaways and drawings if you wish, but it's not a requirement. Visitors and hostesses participating in the event will visit all the shops over the weekend (beyond if necessary) and learn about what you do and what you have to offer!

So, let's get ready for the first Annual Fall Business Women's Expo Online. Don't miss out on this wonderful opportunity to get your business noticed, pick up a few new followers and customers and get in the mind set that the holiday's is quickly approaching!!
